Talkaside

The AI copilot for every Windows call

Talkaside hears both sides, translates 27 languages, finds the answer in the user's own context and can speak it back in their voice. It works with any calling app — no meeting bot and no Talkaside account.

Already built

The difficult technical work is done. The Windows beta captures any call, generates live answers, translates both sides and keeps the history locally.

This round

Turn the product into a company. The capital goes into simpler onboarding, a paid launch and a repeatable sales channel.

The market

Customers already pay for live help on calls

Live call assistants charge from $19.99 to $149.99 per month. Talkaside enters that paid market with more than interview answers: two-way translation, personal context, voice output and one local app that works across every Windows calling service.

A small paid base creates meaningful revenue

The entry plan is designed around $20 per month. Users bring their own AI and speech-provider keys, so those usage costs do not eat Talkaside's subscription margin.

Individual plan

$20 per month before the user's provider costs.

10,000 subscribers

$2.4M ARR before team plans or higher tiers.

Variable AI cost

Paid by the user through the provider they choose.

The first paid segments are international job candidates, cross-border sales and support, and professionals who need local control of recordings and transcripts.

The difference

Talkaside owns the call workflow, not the model

Models will keep getting faster and cheaper. Talkaside benefits from that: users can switch between 11 AI providers without changing the call workflow. The product value sits in the Windows audio layer, the live two-way conversation, local history and the ability to speak a translated answer back into the call.

Control is the advantage. Talkaside adds no account and no conversation-data service in the middle. Recordings, transcripts and history stay on the user's computer; the user chooses the speech and AI providers.

Voice output changes the product category. Talkaside can send the translated reply back into the call in the user's voice.

The proof

1,033 answer generations already measured

Talkaside records answer latency locally. In the current development and beta sample, the fastest provider returned the first word in a median 0.80 seconds.

What exists

This is built, not planned

A shipping Windows build

The current beta is packaged as a Windows installer with a five-day trial and machine-bound licensing.

Both sides of any call

Capture sits at the Windows sound layer, so it hears the other person even on headphones, in any calling app, with nothing to install into the app itself.

Your voice back into the call

A voice profile made from a short sample on the user's own machine, speaking the translation into the call. The sample never leaves the computer.

Three ways to use it

Companion for any conversation, Interview with the user's CV and the job description, Translator for the vocabulary and grammar behind what was just said.

History that stays yours

Recordings, transcripts, summaries and bookmarks, kept locally, searchable afterwards, exportable, deletable.

Seven-step guided setup

First launch walks through speech recognition, AI, language and audio choices before pointing to Start session.

Why it can win

A prompt is easy to copy. The product is not.

Reliable Windows audio capture, two simultaneous speech streams, live translation, context-aware answers, local history, provider switching, voice output and licensing already work together in one installer. A competitor has to rebuild that whole chain, not copy a prompt.

Talkaside is also independent of any single AI company. When a faster or cheaper model appears, it becomes another option inside the product instead of a reason to replace the product.

The ask

$150k–250k turns a working product into a paid business

$150k – 250k proposed pre-seed range

The round funds a paid launch, measured retention, business pilots and one repeatable acquisition channel.

The return

Early capital buys the highest-upside part of the company

The investment buys equity before paid growth is priced in. The value of that stake rises when Talkaside converts a working beta into recurring revenue, signs team customers and raises or exits at a higher valuation.

The upside on a $200k investment for 10%

Company value at exitGross value of the stakeReturn on $200k
$5M$500k2.5×
$10M$1M
$25M$2.5M12.5×

The return can come from an acquisition, a later sale of the shares or dividends from a profitable business. Meeting software, recruiting platforms, language products and desktop AI companies are natural strategic buyers because Talkaside gives them a working Windows call layer instead of another chatbot.

Who's building it

One founder built the full product

The audio engine, speech pipeline, assistant, interface, licensing, installer and site were built by one founder. The product already exists; the investment pays for speed, distribution and revenue.
